Depression and anxiety are very different disorders. They often occur together and have similar treatments. Feeling guilty, not enjoying what you once enjoyed, changes in your sleep habits, feeling down or hopeless are all signs of depression. Feeling nervous or anxious, worrying about lots of different things, being restless are some signs of anxiety.
It is also important to know that anxiety can be a sign of clinical depression. That is why these disorders often occur together. It is also very important to realize that these disorders are nothing to be ashamed of or criticized about. Individuals with these conditions cannot control the chemical imbalance in the brain that causes one or both of these conditions.
