I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Nurse-Midwife, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am passionately devoted to caring for patients while improving their health and helping ensure their rights are protected. I provide health care and education to patients of various ages. I focus on promoting shared decision-making and educating patients so patients can make informed decisions regarding their care.
I received my undergraduate degree in nursing from Pratt Community College and the University of Phoenix. I earned my Master in Science of Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Healthcare/Nursing education from the University of Phoenix. Then I completed my MSN in Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. I then complete a Post-graduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board, American Nurses Credentialing Center, and licensed by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
I am certified in function and integrative mental health by psychiatry redefined. I look for the underlying cause of your mental health problems instead of just treating the symptoms. I use a combination of assessments, history, and lab tests to help determine the cause of your condition. I then develop an individualized treatment plan that incorporates diet, exercise, supplements, integrative therapies, education, and traditional medications to help treat your condition.
I am certified by the Yoga Institute as a Prenatal Yoga instructor and certified to teach Prenatal and Baby and Me yoga.
